Currently, twenty-three US states have enacted laws to legalize or decriminalize the use of marijuana. Whether its use is recreational or medicinal, the trend has been set, and marijuana’s popularity is experiencing a resurgence. What began as simple glass pipes and rolling papers has evolved into a multi-million dollar industry: weed accessories.
The most fundamental of the weed accessories is the simple rolling paper, a small, thin paper designed to be rolled into a cigarette. Rolling papers and blunt wraps are available in a multitude of sizes, and are made of anything from rice paper to hemp paper to wood byproducts. Herb grinders, round devices that the user can twist to crush the herbs inside, are available in wood, plastic, or metal. Lighters, of course, are sold around the world and are a critical weed accessory for most.
Over the years, weed accessories have expanded to include water bongs, color-changing glass pipes, scientific glass bongs, sophisticated metal grinders, and rolling papers made of gold. Vapor bubblers, precoolers, and even weed-related “drinking” games are all available online and at select retailers. There are weed accessories for every marijuana user, and weed accessories are constantly being updated to accommodate evolving tastes and emerging styles.
Today, vapor products are the latest weed accessory craze. In fact, some consider “vape” products to be the future of weed accessories. Popular because they claim to reduce some of the risks of smoking, vape products come in all shapes and sizes, from portable pens made of metal, plastic, or wood, to desktop varieties available in a rainbow of colors and materials. The seeker of weed accessories might consider a bright red vape pen, a classic, gold-enameled walnut vaporizer, or any number of options in between.
